Director of Operations

We have a rare opportunity to lead the operational engine behind one of the world’s leading science fellowships.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Operations will build on an exceptional foundation, continuously improving the systems, processes, and organizational infrastructure that enable Schmidt Science Fellows to deliver an ambitious global program and maximize its impact.
Working across finance, operations, IT, data and information management, HR coordination, and project management, the Director of Operations will ensure the organization has the infrastructure, processes, and management information needed to deliver with excellence at a global scale.

We are seeking an exceptional Head of Events to lead the design and delivery of world-class convenings that inspire scientific collaboration, strengthen our global Fellowship community, and advance the mission of Schmidt Science Fellows.
Events are central to how Schmidt Science Fellows delivers its mission. Through thoughtfully designed convenings, we develop the next generation of science leaders, foster lifelong connections across disciplines, engage influential partners, and showcase the power of interdisciplinary science to the wider scientific community.
Our Head of Events serves as both an operational leader and strategic thought partner, ensuring every convening advances our organizational mission while delivering an exceptional participant experience.
