As Head of Events, Katie leads the strategy, planning, and delivery of events that bring the Schmidt Science Fellows community together in support of our mission.
She brings a strategic, creative, and relationship-driven approach to our work, with a genuine enthusiasm for connecting people and creating shared experiences.
Prior to joining Schmidt Science Fellows, Katie served as Associate Director of Special Events at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, where she oversaw a significant portfolio of fundraising and engagement events supporting the hospital’s philanthropic mission.
Her work has included leading large-scale fundraising initiatives and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver events that advance organizational goals and strengthen community engagement.
