During her PhD, Christine explored methods of integrating multidisciplinary mapping with carnivore ecology and behavior, land use, and human activity to inform conservation strategies.

As a Schmidt Science Fellow, Christine has pivoted to computer science and One Health where she uses data science and machine learning methods to understand shared social-ecological drivers of human health, wildlife health, and connectivity in urban spaces to inform equitable and ecologically sound development, design, and redesign of cities in the 21st century.

Coming from an intersectional, systemically underrepresented background, Christine aims to elevate community voices in conservation and environmental justice, and to work with communities to build multidisciplinary understandings and scalable solutions to the world’s most pressing wildlife and environment-related challenges.
