Our 2020 Fellow Kirsten Hall takes us on an inspirational interdisciplinary journey that has taken her from studying the evolution of galaxies to utilizing that skill to help tackle climate change.

This talk was recorded at our 2024 Interdisciplinary Science Showcase, a highlight of the first Schmidt Science Fellows Interdisciplinary Science Summit held in Toronto.  The event united a wider community of interdisciplinary science supporters and guests with our Fellowship, sponsors, and Program Team.

Throughout the evening event, staged at a spectacular downtown Toronto venue on the shores of Lake Ontario in July,  four  Senior Fellows and our Founding Executive Director Megan Kenna brought their science and interdisciplinary journeys to life through captivating presentations.

The Showcase was part of our commitment to grow and galvanize a visible interdisciplinary science community, providing opportunities to connect, share ideas, and build stronger collaborations.
