Overview

Global Meeting Series

Our Global Meeting Series combines three week-long residential convenings held around the world to help Fellows develop the skills, experience, and networks necessary to become the next generation of science leaders.

Global Meetings introduce Fellows to new research ideas, techniques, and questions; exposes them to a wide range of cutting-edge science, leading thinkers, and institutions; and delivers tailored training in science communication, leadership, and the facilitation of interdisciplinary research.

Our Global Meetings are held in some of the world’s most vibrant and inspirational centers of science and innovation. This enables our Fellows to experience a variety of scientific cultures, gain insight into different ways of organizing and leading institutions, and to visit internationally renowned scientific facilities.

Through the Global Meetings, the Fellows receive the training required to become scientific leaders, including:

  • Leadership, management, and ethics
  • Personal effectiveness and communication
  • Funding and finance
  • Broadening interdisciplinary perspectives
  • Engaging in society and how to tackle global challenges
  • Collaboration, engaging with diverse teams, and community development
